Our company was founded approximately 116 years ago in 1887. Initially we were involved in the wholesale of unique Okayama tatami mats. However adapting to the changes in the housing situation in Japan, we have evolved as a flexible company that deals with a diverse range of lifestyle needs from the sale of replacement tatami and interior goods to the construction of new apartments.
We have also developed a Tatami leasing system named "Tatamis", which began in 1994. This system was received favorably by the public and since August 1997 the sale of Tatamis has been delegated to one of our affiliated companies, Kikuya Co., Ltd. Today we have many contracts with spa resorts, hotels and restaurants within Okayama prefecture, the Chugoku, Shikoku and Kansai regions.
